Hey gang!,

I found a guy on Ebay with 5,000 VHS tapes. He was going to dump them but I then noticed he was in California (Oakdale) so he is going to contact you guys with his Grandfathered huge three story building! All 80s and 90s stuff!

Enjoy everyone!

If you need help digitizing them, just send me a box and I'll have them digitized!
I'm disABLED and am passionate about the cause!

Please let me know!

Thank you! The Archive is very interested in VHS tapes of material that never made it to digital.

Hey Jeff, I asked the person is they have contacted by anyone here and they said no. I told them I would add $50 towards my purchase if they can,

I REALLY think this would be great if it gets done!

Thank you

Oh hey I'm glad I could give back! I'm obsessed with you guys! I couldn't believe he was going to just dump them! So when I found that out I panicked! I was going to give him other suggestions but I woke up in the middle of the night, hopped (well slid!) in my wheelchair, went to his auction and whaddya know! He's in California too!

So I was SOOOO excited! YES! I BEGGED him! I suggested he ask the archive be named after his deceased Grandfather!

Now all I have to worry about him following through with it!Please keep me/us posted!

Hey is anyone currently digitizing VHS tapes there? It looked like it was going to start up again with a few early 2000s tapes by the archiver who does that and then nothing.

I have written several messages volunteering but no response! With a little guidance I REALLY want to restart it because the clock is rapidly ticking with those!

GREAT John I'm glad I can help! Thank you for everyone else who runs this TRULY histori and crucial site!

When us nerds were the majority of the internet in the 80s and 90s, archive is what we dreamed about!
